EK Group acquires 100% of Romana Elettrotecnica S.r.l.
Reggio Emilia, February 24, 2025 – EK Group (www.ek-group.com), through its subsidiary MB Technology, announces the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Romana Elettrotecnica S.r.l, based in the province of Rome.
Romana Elettrotecnica is a company specializing in the production of low-voltage electrical panels. Thanks to a careful assessment of its strategy and commercial policy, combined with a highly qualified team, the company has acquired know-how over time that has allowed it to establish itself both nationally and internationally, becoming a leader in the sectors in which it operates.
Thanks to this acquisition, EK CONNECT – a division of EK Group – strengthens its portfolio of services and prepares to meet the challenges of the future. La Romana Elettrotecnica will continue to operate with its own staff at its headquarters in Ariccia (Rome), but will have access to all the technological resources and synergies offered by EK Group. This will allow it to expand its offering and respond more effectively to the needs of the ever-changing market.
Roberto Gallingani (President and CEO of EK Group) states that with this acquisition, EK Group confirms its position as a rapidly growing company focused on continuous innovation and expansion of its business in the technology sector.
EK Group is structured into three divisions: Electrical Cable Production, EK Connect for Cable Production, and Elettrotek Kabel with distribution offices in Europe and North America, for a total of nine locations and 350 employees.
Thanks to the acquisition of Romana Elettrotecnica, the EK CONNECT division now has four production plants in Italy, with a total of 150 employees.
The company will be managed by Claudio Bigi, already an important figure at MB Technology, who will continue the excellent work carried out over the years and pursue the business development activities of the EK CONNECT division.
