With Legislative Decree No. 24/2023, Italy implemented Directive 2019/1937 on the protection of persons who report crimes or irregularities that they have become aware of in the course of their employment (known as “whistleblowing”), providing, under certain conditions, for the obligation for private companies to set up internal reporting channels that guarantee the confidentiality and identity of the whistleblower and protect them from any possible retaliatory action.
EK GROUP has adopted, in accordance with the recent legislation, a system for reporting illegal activities, through the implementation of an online reporting channel for each company in the group that complies with the requirements of the legislation, called the “LEGAL WB” platform, which can be accessed by clicking on the following link el-group.legalwb.it to send reports relating to individual group companies to the Whistleblowing Manager.
EK GROUP believes that an adequate whistleblowing system allows employees, customers, and suppliers to send reports in a systematic and confidential manner, as well as establishing protected and constant interaction and dialogue with the Whistleblowing Manager of the group companies.
